He was in the stands on Tuesday night as Leicester beat Brighton to record their first home victory since Boxing Day, and begins work today ahead of debuting against Watford, another of his former clubs, on Sunday.Rodgers has come in for some serious criticism for leaving Celtic Park mid-season, especially as they are on course for a third consecutive Treble and eyeing up ten league titles in a row. And Dembele, whose relationship with Rodgers fractured during the striker’s transfer to Lyon last summer, could not help but comment on the Northern Irishman’s return to England. He first posted on Twitter ‘Interesting’ when Rodgers’ appointment by Leicester was confirmed, before adding ‘And if you don’t know now you know’ and ‘I told you’ slightly later.Dembele clashed with Rodgers last August over an alleged promise made to him that he would be able to leave Celtic throughout the summer transfer, and he took to social media with a cryptic tweet after a number of bids from Lyon were rejected by the Premiership side.“A man without his word is nothing,” Dembele wrote. “A real man keeps his word.”The message is believed to have been aimed at Rodgers, who eventually came out to reveal Dembele accepted in a private meeting that no promises were made concerning his exit.Nonetheless, Dembele put pen-to-paper on a deal with Lyon the following day, leaving Celtic Park for just under 20million.
